Drop keys allow you to control the action taken when items are dragged to File Buddy's icon. By pressing the designated keys when an item is dropped on File Buddy's icon, you invoke the corresponding action. To change a drop key, click on its button in the Drop Keys preference tab, press the key or keys you wish to set, and click OK button. The following drop key actions are available:
Open a window in which you can select an action to apply to the dropped items.
Open a File Buddy Info window for the dropped items.
Open a window containing total count and size information for the dropped items.
Open the File Buddy Rename window for the dropped items.
Open a File Buddy List window and add the dropped items to it.
Ask for a folder into which the dropped items will be moved.
Ask for a folder into which the dropped items will be copied.
Open the File Buddy Make Alias window for the dropped items.
Open the File Buddy Find window and populate it with information from one of the dropped items. If multiple items are dropped with this drop key, there is no way to specify which will be used to populate the Find window, so this Drop Key should only be used when dragging a single item to File Buddy.
